If I may chime in...

So... um... dunno how to tell you this, but apparently The Arrogant Worms didn't do this song. Go to their website's lyrics page (http://www.arrogant-worms.com/lyrics .php) and it's not listed there anywhere. TV Tropes says (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.ph p/Main/SubvertedRhymeEveryOccasion) it was by Vito Petroccitto Jr. and even points out that people often miscredit it.

Sorry dude. But that's what happens when you assume! ;P

It's not Hammurabi Time

The preloader didn't work (seriously, please test these things first), but I was able to make it play by clicking Play in the right-click menu.

I was expecting some kind of "Can't Touch This" parody. Instead I got a really drawn-out sequence with no dialog and no plot. The eponymous Code wasn't even mentioned anywhere. I sort of got the gist of it; just... a lot of it was dragged out way longer than it should have been (especially that first scene where he's just sitting there).

I know why it's *supposed* to be funny, but...

Ehhhhh... I don't get why he wouldn't notice how bad the cake *tastes* until after he'd finished eating it. Joke just doesn't work for me.

...Only you die!

The lines about hide-and-go-seek were totally like what I'd expect to hear in the real thing. I hope they actually make one now so I can compare. I know if I were them, I'd ask if I could use that line.

Liked the cell-shaded-cutouts visual style, too. There need to be more cartoons animated like that.

How is babby formed? CORPORATIONS!

Fun times. I liked the fake-out at the beginning where it looked like it was a huge all-corporations-are-evil propaganda piece ... complete with technicolor Michael Moore lookalike. And the obviously made-up stuff. They need to make more informational videos with obviously untrue but funny parts. But I guess they think today's kids are too stupid to tell the difference. *roll eyes*

Aw, Mom, do I really need a title?

I'll be kind because it's a test. Only thing that really bothered me was that the can changes from "Coke" to "Cola" and back.

Griffonzo responds:

Must've not payed attention to that. Good eye.

If I can't hear it, I can't (properly) judge it

The graphics are excellent and very appropriate to the story's origins (actually reminded me of Mayan art somewhat). But I quit watching partway through because I couldn't tell what was going on; the sound was so low that even at max volume with headphones I couldn't hear the narration. So, 5/10 for the graphics alone; the other 3 will come when you fix the sound and make a watchable story out of it.

Off to a great start

Sweet piece of work so far! The SFX were awesome. I don't usually like pixel stuff but this rocked. Good call putting the Spacebar hint in the menu, too, though putting it at the bottom of the screen might have been a better bet.

skater007 responds:

Woah, thanks, that makes me feel good so far :)

Whaaaaaaaaaaa....

Pretty decent animation. The dialogue was way too quiet though. I had to crank my audio up to full volume to hear it on my headphones. And then the music was way too loud.

adi93ulm responds:

lol !! soory!!!

WHEEEEEEEHEEHEEEHEE

The best part was the flying guy because I knew where the sound effect came from.

Oh, and the subway. Although I think we all saw that coming.

I don't spend a ton of time on this site, and I don't like wasting my already precious time, so you won't see me writing many reviews, racking up many XP, or watching anything that's not already highly ranked or linked to me by somebody.
